SIPADAN MAGIC - Malaysian Dive Article

I'm going away for a few weeks of scuba diving and exploration in Thailand, so I thought I'd leave you with an article I wrote for Air Niugini's in-flight magazine about scuba diving in Sipadan.
You should be able to zoom in sufficiently to read the text.

I hope you enjoyed it - please leave a comment - and I'll see you when I return in time for the festive season.

  2. Hope you have a great trip - I'm sure you will!
Interesting article, and some brilliant photos. I especially like the one of the turtle swimming. Not sure I'd want to get too close to that eel though!

    1. Thank you, Linda. Actually, that turtle is having a snooze - and yes you don't want to get too close to moray eels!

  5. Great article linking some fantastic photos. Well done. I smiled at the advert for pure drinking water in the middle of an undersea article!
Have a great trip, and stay safe - the East is a tad didgy right now and we want you back.

  6. Thanks, Liz. There was another ad on the page with the barracuda which I edited out - but I rather liked the Papua New Guinea water ad so I left it intact.
Don't worry - I'm a careful traveller - well, only as careful as one is able to be in these sad times!

  7. Susan the article and photos left my jaw hanging open. Schools of Baracuda? Caution extreme danger? Turtle tomb? Not an average dive I'd say. Have a wonderful trip and safe travels.

  8. Ha ha - only extremely dangerous to venture into the cave system without taking appropriate precautions! After all - if turtles can get lost and drown in the caves - what hope mere mortals?
I'm not sure there's such a thing as an 'average' dive. :)
See you when I return in a few week's time.
